  3.                       A Way Cool Web Server for BBS's!

  5. Welcome to WebBBS, a terrific NEW feature to have on your BBS. This
  6. software turns your BBS into a web site, offering your callers
  7. SVGA graphics, stereo sound, and a www internet look and feel. Users 
  8. may upload their web pages to you and you could place them in the 
  9. proper directory.. so that their web pages could be available along
  10. with yours.

  12. We have included a few demo web pages. Feel free to edit them, change 
  13. them as much as you like. You can modify them with DOS EDIT or with 
  14. Windows Notepad or any other text editor.

  18. This software installs as if it were a door program or door game. On our 
  19. TAG 2.7 BBS, we unzipped webbbs13.zip into a c:\bbs\webbbs directory. We
  20. created a batch file called webbbs.bat in c:\bbs using DOS EDIT, the file 
  21. looks like this:

  23. copy c:\bbs\door.sys c:\bbs\webbbs
  24. cd c:\bbs\webbbs
  25. webbbs13.exe
  26. cd c:\bbs

  28. Examine webbbs13.ini with DOS EDIT or Window's Notepad or any other 
  29. text editor. Webbbs13.ini stores the configuration of the zmodem
  30. protocol engine. It looks like this:

  35. Change c:\bbs\dsz sz to:

  37. Using dsz with COM port 2, modem connect speed 38400 baud
  38. c:\bbs\dsz port 2 speed 38400 sz

  40. Using dsz with COM port 2, default baud
  41. c:\bbs\dsz port 2 sz

  43. As of this writing, DSZ might not be compatible with Windows 95. CEXYZ
  44. is reported to be compatible with Windows95 using Winfossil but requires
  45. x00 fossil driver.

  47. Using CEXYZ with COM 4, modem connect speed 14400 baud
  48. cexyz /b14400 /p4 /sz

  50. Using CEXYZ with the default COM port, modem connect speed 14400 baud
  51. cexyz /b14400 /sz

  53. If you are having trouble getting WebBBS to send HTML files this zmodem
  54. configuration line is probably the cause. Read the documentation that 
  55. accompanies your zmodem driver and make certain you are writing the correct
  56. COM port, modem speed, and path (did you spell everything correctly?) 
  57. into webbbs13.ini.

  61. Since WebBBS13.zip is a freeware demo version we limited it as follows:

  63. You may modify the example HTML files any way you want but you should 
  64. not change the file names. For example, hyper.htm is our web page. You may 
  65. rewrite it and make it your personal web page but must keep the name 
  66. hyper.htm.

  68. E-mail is disabled in this freeware version.

  70. The registered version does not have these limitations.

  88. display them in addition to your own web pages. WebBBS23.zip supports images 
  89. (gifs and jpegs), stereo sound, colored backgrounds, textured backgrounds, 
  90. ftp file transfer and email between webBBS users. WebBBS23.zip costs 
  91. US $ 9.95 or the equivalent in any major foreign currency. You may 
  92. download webBBS23.zip from Hypernet Software BBS, or we can upload 
  93. it to your BBS, ftp it to your website, or if you're in the USA we 
  94. can mail a copy to you on 3.5 inch or 5.25 inch floppy diskette. If you 
  95. are outside the USA and want webBBS23.zip mailed to you on a floppy
